Indian Workers Association will protest in support of India’s Female Wrestlers

Renowned wrestlers, including Olympic medalists and Commonwealth champions, have been protesting at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar since April 23. They have accused Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, of sexual harassment of the women wrestlers. They have demanded that the WFI chief should be arrested, removed from his post and strict action should be taken against him. IWAGB’s urgent call to the Government results in action

IWAGB’s recent letter to the British Government, urging them to arrange for the safe return of British citizens and residents stranded in India due to the COVID-19 lockdown has led to the action by the Foreign Office. The British Foreign Office has chartered 12 additional flights this week in order to bring back around 3,000 individuals stranded in India. UK: Leicester Gets New Indian Visa Centre

ADITI KHANNA | LONDON | DEC 04, 2013 The British city of Leicester has won a 20-year campaign to have its own Indian visa centre, which will benefit a large Indian-origin community in the region.
